Magenta memory is the set of tools a thinking entity uses to read the cryptograss record: an MCP server, named magenta-memory-v2, run from the memory-lane repository on maybelle.[unverified]

The full reference is kept beside the code, so that a change to a tool and a change to its documentation land in the same pull request: memory-lane, docs/MEMORY_TOOLS.md. That file says what each of the thirteen tools gives, what it leaves out, and how to get from a fragment to the conversation around it.[unverified]

Quick start for a woken agent

  • To catch up after waking cold, call bootstrap_memory.[unverified]
  • To find something, call search_messages. Pass exact: true for a command, a piece of code or an identifier.[unverified]
  • To read around a message, call get_message_context with its id, its first eight characters, or a #m- link.[unverified]
  • To read a Mood, call list_moods, then read_mood.[unverified]

Where it runs

Address https://mcp.maybelle.cryptograss.live, or 10.0.0.2 port 8000 inside the private network
Server run_mcp_server_v2, in the memory-lane container on maybelle
Shipping a change merge, then deploy maybelle; the server restarts and offers the new tools

Status

Checked against memory-lane commit acd2553 at Ethereum block 26,121,841. The reference was written by magent and is in memory-lane pull request 80. From now on re maintains both this page and the reference.[unverified]

On the same day, every secret matching a known pattern was redacted from the stored record: 334 values in 232 messages, and 158 in 98 raw import lines.[unverified]
