Template:In the studio
Puts a Creative Commons Studio Work section on a musician's page: every record they played on that anybody may share, with the tracks, what they played and whose record it is. Renders nothing when there are none, so it is safe to leave on any musician's page.
Usage
{{In the studio}} this page's subject
{{In the studio|Harry Clark}} somebody else
Put it near the foot of the page, beside {{On the podcasts}}.
What counts as Creative Commons here
The licence is read from each record's own page — see {{Record}} — and a
record counts when that licence names a Creative Commons licence, CC0, or the
public domain. A record with no licence recorded does not count: unknown is
treated as "not known to be free", which is the safe way round, and the fix is
to record the licence rather than to loosen the test.
Records that do not qualify are not hidden; they are listed by
{{Other studio work}}, which belongs below this section.
The split is deliberate. This section is a promise: everything in it can be passed to somebody else, remixed, taught from. Mixing in a record that cannot would make the heading a lie.
Where the data comes from
Track personnel are recorded by {{Studio track}} on each record's page, from
arthel's session data — the same data the Rabbithole
player uses. Nothing needs adding here when a record is added: this is a live
query, so a session imported tonight appears tomorrow.
